And the winner is….

No commentsTy’s Birthday Voicemail Contest
So a month or so ago I was going through all my voicemails and people have left me some pretty hilarious ones so I thought for my birthday I should have a contest for who could leave me the most EPIC voicemail ever. I will probably leave my phone on but will just let it go to voicemail to give you an opportunity to say something funny as shit. The winner’s message will be posted for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for all the birthday wishes so far and I wish all of you the best of luck in the contest.

No commentsThoughts on Apple’s most recent special event.
Went out of town over the weekend and forgot to publish this post so here it is:
Overall I was very impressed by Apple’s newest product releases. This obviously comes as no surprise since I am such a fan boi. With the release of iTunes 10 comes Ping, which I hope turns out cool. If you value my musical opinion Follow Me on Ping. I was concerned that Jobs said they had re-designed every iPod in the line up but they failed to mention anything about the iPod Classic. Does this mean it’s possible we could lose the portable storage giant? As an true audiophile who wants all his music everywhere he goes, this presents a problem because none of the new generation iPods have the storage space I require. Even the 160GB is now too small and I don’t want to go through the trouble of creating a playlist of music that I might want to listen to at any given moment. Most of this problem has been solved for me with my streaming audio server, however not always am I at a computer or have internet service while in the backwoods. As for the big news, the new Apple TV, I was a bit disappointed in the implementation and the emphasis on renting only. I currently have an Apple TV and love it. I have been converting all of my DVDs to H.264. The new direction taken of streaming only is fine since I can still stream all my movies from my computer, however I think taking “My Movies” out of the Movies menu was a mistake. I feel like the Apple TV should focus on my collection of movies and not ones I have to pay per view. I realize storage management is a problem for most people and I think the new Apple TV will get streaming HD content to many, but as a computer geek I want to store and backup all of my digital media myself and not have a company dictate how and when I watch it while taking my money every time I view content that I have already legitimately purchase via physical media (i.e. DVD or BlueRay). That said, I was impressed that Apple decided to incorporate Netflix being a competitor in the streaming market. Either way I will still be purchasing a new Apple TV for my bedroom. What are you thoughts?

Basically I either have no time to blog or just suck at it. Maybe it’s a combination? I do, however, have time to make videos of Sean and I playing with seafoam. Enjoy!
No commentsFirst post from iPhone
Hello! I would like to dedicate this post to my cousin Jennica who said I need to update my blog. This is my first post ever from my iPhone. I have had the capability to do this before however I never bothered trying. The WordPress app for iPhone is pretty slick and you should give it a try if you have an iPhone and blog with WordPress. So far Thanksgiving weekend has been good, spending it with family and all. More details coming soon!
No commentsNew Website Additions
Hello all,
If you are reading this post you have most likely noticed that 1) Its been a while since my last post and 2) I have made a few changes to my website, adding a new homepage. I did this to facilitate access to other parts of my site for work and entertainment. I also added a picture of the day, or whenever I decide to change it, for your enjoyment as well as mine. The first picture titled “Space Candace”, as coined by Sean, is now on display for a limited time only (again I decide the definition of “Limited Time Only”).
Well I hope you have enjoyed todays’ post and will continue to visit my site to hear about all the ridiculous things I come up with. Dun dun dun….
No commentsTalk about being a slacker!
Basically I’m not so good at posting frequently which is probably why a journal has never worked out for me. Anyway lets catch up. After Pineview on the 10th the week was a fairly normal week until Wednesday (Cousin Bryan’s birthday) or Thursday when family started to gather for cousin Jarred’s wedding on Friday. It was up in Sundance and it was really nice and well done. Uncle Marv’s band, Joe Friday, played and there was dancing. It was a great event and we are all really happy and excited for Jarred. Ok so then Saturday rolls along… about 12 of us (mostly Cameron’s) including Candace went sky diving, it was absolutely amazing. I can’t even describe it, but what a rush! Even my great uncle Don at 66 years old, after he got a little mind control, jumped! WOW! what a day.
The following Monday, August 18th 2008, was my bro Treq’s 21st birthday. Among other things we went to dinner and bowling and had a blast. Treq is the coolest kid and the best brother anyone could have. Followed by another work week was this last weekend’s camping trip to Mirror Lake in the Uintas with Candace’s family and Sean. Basically Sean rocks my face and has always been a great friend. His birthday was just this last Sunday the 24th. Talk about an action packed couple of weeks huh? So is that a good enough excuse for not keeping up on my posts? Not a chance huh, okay fine at least I tried. Until next time I bid you all adieu!
No commentsLas Vegas Nightwish Concert Trip
Man I suck I keeping my blog updated. May 24th was the Nightwish concert in Las Vegas. Me, Candace and Sean drove my car down Friday and came home the following Monday. Friday night we ate dinner at Roxy which is in the Stratosphere. Saturday we did a lot of walking around. After getting up late and trying to find breakfast we ended up going to the food court. Candace and I got crapes that looked really good but was way to creamy for Ty’s bowels to handle. After spending the day walking around to the different casinos and checking stuff out we made our way to Mandalay Bay via the monorail. We ate dinner at the House of Blues Restaurant before the concert. I had ribs which were rather good. Security wouldn’t let us bring in cameras so that was disappointing but I did get a few shots with my phone before I got in trouble. Here are a couple of the best shots.
This one is my favorites with Emppu rocking out on the right.
The concert was basically amazing. Sunday was our ride day we got up a little earlier and went to breakfast at IHOP. Then we got all day passes for 3 rides on top of the Stratosphere. Insanity was true to its name it was pretty insane and freaky, Big shot was dope as always, and xscream was pretty good too. We did so more wandering and what not and also did “Speed the ride” at the Sahara Hotel where we were staying. That night we went back to the Stratosphere to do the rides again at night. We didn’t do insanity the second time around cause it was packed at night. There was this dude in line that looked like Big Black from Rob & Big and he was hilarious, he was freaking out about doing the rides like a big baby it was awesome. Monday morning we grabbed some quick breakfast at Starbucks and started the journey home. And that was our trip. Nightwish is totally awesome!
No commentsNOFX Concert
Saturday May 3rd me and Sean went to the NOFX concert. The line up was American Steel, No use for a Name then of course NOFX. It totally rocked our faces off. And thats basically all i have to say about that regardless.
1 commentMoab Trip
Ok so I got alittle behind in my posts. My dad, Candace, and myself when down to Moab on Friday April 25th through Sunday the 27th. We tried to get the jeep all registered and ready to go but we kinda ran out of time so my dad said the famous last words “Lets take our chances.” Friday night when we got down there we decided to take the jeep and drive down main street to check out some of the cars that were going to be in the car show the next day. We ended up getting pulled over cause my dad was driving on the shoulder of the road and sure enough got a ticket for not being register. The cop was a total retard and threatened to impound the jeep if he saw it on the road again. This really messed things up cause we towed the jeep down with the motorhome which we couldn’t really drive into town. Luckily we had friends there. We met up with Sean, Toby, Janet, and friends. I can’t give Sean and his Range Rover any crap from now on cause it he towed our butts to the trail, which I might add was rather impressive.
Saturday morning we ran poison spider trail after which we went to the car show. There were tons of sweet hot rods, it really made me want a 1932 Ford Coupe. For dinner we met up with Adam and Casie, who came down Saturday morning, at Pasta Jays and had some incredible chicken parmesan. After dinner we all went and climbed Moon Flower crack. Candace basically went pro as this was her second time up the crack.
Sunday we ran Bull Canyon and Gemini Bridges on our way out of town. It was a way fun trip. Hopefully I can get a picture gallery online soon and you can check out the pics.
Looking up at Gemini Bridges from Bull Canyon
